At OasisPlus Care Services, the Positive Behaviour Plan (PBSP) is a key component in supporting participants with complex needs. Where a client has a Positive Behaviour Plan developed. The plan is used to address the needs of the participants, including specific behavioural challenges such as self-harm, aggression, or property damage with a focus on prevention, early warning signs and includes proactive methods to manage behaviours before they escalate.
OasisPlus Care Services collaborates with specialist behaviour support providers, including NDIS-approved practitioners, psychologists, and experts who meet the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework. These professionals conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments and develop tailored plans, ensuring the participant’s needs are met. The PBSP is a collective effort involving all key individuals in the participant’s life, ensuring consistency and coordination in managing challenging behaviours.
For participants whose plans include restrictive practices, these measures are considered only when necessary and as a last resort. OasisPlus Care Services ensures that all staff are trained to implement these practices in compliance with NDIS regulations, prioritising the least restrictive approach, used for the shortest duration, and with full adherence to reporting requirements set by the NDIS Commission.
As an implementing provider, OasisPlus Care Services is committed to staff education, incident reporting, and ongoing collaboration with Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. The aim is always to reduce or eliminate the need for restrictive practices, safeguarding the participant’s dignity and quality of life. By employing evidence-based and individualised strategies, OasisPlus Care Services helps participants achieve positive outcomes while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
